This stream is for who:
Are applying directly from overseas, or
Have not worked in Australia or only briefly worked in a regional area Australian labour market.
You must have:
A skills assessment for the nominated occupation.
Three years of relevant work experience.
An approved nomination from a regional employer.
Permanent Residency – You can stay in Australia indefinitely
You will have freedom to Live, Work, and Study anywhere in Australia after visa grant
You will have the access to Medicare – Australia’s public healthcare system
Sponsorship Rights – You will be eligible to Sponsor your relatives for permanent residence
Citizenship Pathway – You can apply for Australian citizenship once your eligible

Your Eligibility criteria must meet the following:
You must be nominated by an approved employer from Australia regional areas.
You must be under 45 years of age
Must prove your competent English proficiency (IELTS score of 6 in each band or equivalent)
Approval of your skills and qualifications relevant to your nominated occupation
Must meet your health and character requirements
You must be committed to working for your sponsoring employer for at least two years after visa grant
Temporary Residence Transition Stream: 6 – 12 months
Direct Entry Stream: 8 – 15 months
Yes. You can include your spouse/common law partner and your dependent children in your Subclass 187 Visa application. They will also receive their permanent residency status if you get your PR visa approved.
