Employer Sponsored Visas

Australia Employer Sponsered

Global Gateways helps Human Resources Managers and Business Owners to sponsor overseas skilled workers to Australia in the most efficient way possible – saving time, reducing risk and all for a competitive rate.

Temporary Business Sponsorship (457 visas)

This visa allows Australian and overseas businesses to sponsor skilled staff for up to a 4 year period. It is a three-stage process involving business sponsorship, nomination and visa application.

Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS)

The Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) allows employers to “sponsor” employees for permanent residence. Only Australian businesses can access the ENS program, and there is a higher level of skill required by the applicant than for the 457 visa.

Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS)

An RSMS is a permanent visa requiring a job offer in a regional area of Australia. The skill level for the employer is lower than for ENS and it is possible to sponsor in a wider range of occupations than 457 and ENS.

Labour Agreements

Labour agreements are individually negotiated between the employer and the Department of Immigration and can be used to sponsor employees for:

  • 457 visas
  • Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) visas
  • Regional Sponsored Skilled Migration Scheme (RSMS) visas

Occupational Trainee subclass 442 Visas

Employers can sponsor for occupational trainee visas where the employee needs to be in Australia to complete workplace-based training.

Occupational trainee visa (OTV) holders would typically receive on-the-job training, but this can be combined with classroom-based training.
