There is various state nominated visa options available for migrants wanting to establish a business or invest in South Australia.
The visa categories also offer different streams depending on whether you already own a business, want to start a business in South Australia or if you want to invest in the state.
State nominated visas
Business Innovation and Investment – Provisional – subclass 188
This is a two-step pathway to permanent residency. First, you apply for a provisional subclass 188 visas and after four years you can apply for a permanent subclass 888 visas. There are three different visa streams in this program.
Business Innovation and Investment – Permanent – subclass 888
This visa is the permanent residency stage of the 188 Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa. You can apply after you have fulfilled the requirements for the Business Innovation and Investment (subclass 188) visa.
Business Talent – subclass 132
A permanent residence visa requiring no provisional visa. There are two streams in this program.
Business Owner – subclass 892
A permanent residence visa for business owners already holding a South Australian state-nominated 163, 164 or 165 visa.
Business Investor – subclass 893
A permanent residence visa for investors already holding a South Australian state-nominated 165 visa.
Investor Retirement – subclass 405
A four-year temporary visa for people wishing to retire in South Australia.
